photoset: Megadeth at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, NJ
The show took place on August 12, 2010. Slayer headlined and Testament opened. I used two of the worst lenses for an arena shoot: Canon’s 17-40mm f/4.0 and Canon’s 50mm f/1.8. The wide angle can only get you so far on a big stage. The f/1.8 isn’t strong enough for that kind of a pit. But somehow it all came together. I also put my G10 to use (check out the black and white fan photos at the end of the set).
